AC Milan transfer news: Offer prepared for PSG starlet Tanguy Kouassi

Milan are reportedly serious about prising Tanguy Kouassi away from PSG this summer and are preparing a contract offer to secure his signature.

The 17-year-old has come through the ranks with the reigning Ligue 1 champions and has made his breakthrough at senior level this season.

Having made 13 appearances for the first team, the defensive ace, who can play either as a centre-half or a defensive midfielder, has seemingly done enough to attract interest from elsewhere, particularly given his current contract expires this summer and so he will perhaps only command a compensatory fee given his age.

According to Calciomercato, it’s suggested that Kouassi is open to an exit from the French capital, while RB Leipzig are said to be possible competition for the Rossoneri.

Nevertheless, amid ongoing rumours that Ralf Rangnick could be Milan bound this summer, it could give us the edge as it’s suggested that we’re ready to put a contract spanning four to five years on the table to convince Kouassi to make the move to join us.

Such a swoop wouldn’t rule out a move for Celtic ace Kristoffer Ajer too, as per Calciomercato above, and so it looks as though we may well take steps to shore things up at the back ahead of next season.

Naturally, that would suggest that either would join the battle to partner captain Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of the backline, which is perhaps a concern for Matteo Gabbia who is looking to cement his place in the side currently.
