While Milan continue to focus on matters on the pitch, speculation continues to link us with a number of potential transfer targets this summer to bolster the squad.
It’s firstly hoped that Stefano Pioli can lead the side towards securing European qualification in the remaining games this season, after which it remains to be seen what changes are made over the summer.

While transfer speculation continues to suggest the Rossoneri will be active, Adolfo Gaich is seemingly now the latest name to be added to our apparent shortlist.
As noted by MilanNews, the 21-year-old San Lorenzo forward has been linked with a move to Milan, while it’s suggested that it could take around €10m to prise him away from his current club.
So, how good is Gaich?
The Argentine ace has seven goals and an assist in 27 appearances for San Lorenzo having come through the youth ranks, while his current contract expires in 2021.
Deployed as a centre-forward, he has been capped at U20 and U23 level for Argentina, scoring nine goals in 18 caps for the former and six in five with the latter, while he made his international debut at senior level last year.
Aside from his eye for goal, he is a real physical presence up front and is a proper striker in the sense that he’s a throwback with his height, power and threat in the box allowing him to add a clear attacking dynamic to the side.
That said, he still lacks the experience and tactical know-how to be more of an all-round threat, but that will naturally come with experience and maturity as while he has shown an ability to bring others into play and can provide a focal point up top, he can still improve.
Gaich is nowhere near the finished article, but as his rise at international level shows, Argentina believe that they have a real talent on their hands and so it comes as no real surprise that Milan are said to be interested.
While we have dynamic and pacy forwards in the likes of Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao, Gaich would offer a different type of option in attack, and especially if Zlatan Ibrahimovic weren’t to extend his stay this summer, it would be a possible low-cost, high-reward investment as far as Milan are concerned to try and fill that void with a long-term solution.
As the video shows below, Gaich knows how to finish, is a threat with his feet and in the air, has a good first touch, is a physical handful for defenders and has a bit of flair about him too in order to take on players by displaying good control and skill. As we’ve seen with recent acquisitions, we haven’t had much success with out-and-out goalscorers, and so the fact that the 21-year-old has much more to his game in the build up of play stands him in good stead.
He still faces stepping up in levels though and a move to Europe will come with its own challenges. In turn, it’s a risky move if Milan choose to swoop as while the talent is obviously there, they have to be sure he has significant room for improvement and will be able to successfully adjust and adapt to Italian football.
