Milan are reportedly continuing to encounter hurdles in their bid to try and sign a winger, with Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco emerging as their top targets.
The Rossoneri undoubtedly have a major weakness in that department, with the absence of a pacy, tricky attacker offering width on the left flank missing in particular.

That would in turn take some of the creative responsibility off Suso’s shoulders, while Hakan Calhanoglu could then perhaps revert back to a more natural role in a central position and it would certainly add a new dynamic to the Milan attack.
In turn, it could be a crucial addition that proves to be decisive in our pursuit of a top four finish in Serie A this season, but it’s proving to be very difficult to wrap up, according to reports.
As noted by MilanNews.it, Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested that Watford are demanding €25m plus bonuses for Deulofeu, and if no offer is forthcoming from us on Tuesday, it could break off all discussions over a return for the Spaniard.
Deulofeu knows the league, knows the culture and expectations at San Siro, and so it has to be said that even if only as a short-term solution, he would be a sensible addition to the squad.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato add that issues also exist in any possible Carrasco swoop, as it’s suggested that he will demand wages of €10m-a-year. As desperate as we are for a winger, overpaying on wages is perhaps the last thing that the hierarchy can afford to do with FFP regulations still to consider.
While neither of those two potential swoops sound particularly promising, Calciomercato add some better news on Sandro Tonali, as it’s suggested that Milan sent scouts to watch the €30m+ rated youngster this past weekend, albeit as did Liverpool which is a concern moving forward.
As seen in the video below, he didn’t disappoint as he scored in Brescia’s thrilling 4-4 draw with Spezia, and while it’s one thing endearing himself to us by publicly revealing he supported Milan as a child and that he would love to be coached by Gattuso, it’s another that he lets his quality on the pitch do the talking.
It’s certainly hoped that we can find some sort of transfer agreement with Brescia sooner rather than later to fend off the competition.
